Finding Balance
Indeed in a twin flame connection, we may come towards the dance with love. But if partners keep connecting and disconnecting, the moment is lost in the choreography.

This is really interesting to me. I am new on the site and this is the first time I have heard this term before. My husband and I got married on 11-11-11. This was after 8 years of being engaged, it was just the right time. This really explains our relationship a whole different way. I had been shown that had been my son in a previous life. I have so much to be thankful for.

You have been mislead by generalization as many people are.
I’ve met my twin flame and I know what happens. Chakra activation, psychic abilities, spiritual awareness including mediumship. I was born a medium and the experience with her showed me this.

I can agree with this comment pretty wholeheartedly. Though it could very well be a twin flame connection if you are unaware of the signs at the time, the synchronicity in a twin flame connection can be shown without 11:11. For example, I am positive that I am currently in a relationship with my twin flame. We met once when we were very young and did not have a romantic relationship and then met again when we were older and automatically clicked together. Immediately my physic abilities emerged brighter than ever, I began seeing my birthday numbers (3/24) EVERYWHERE, from license plates to the time I would look at the clock, prescription numbers, ect. We directly reflect the personality traits that are strongest to us, and we balance each other out by extremes. Our relationship is not always loving, we hit rocky points quite often because we are so much alike. But we complete each other. We teach each other things on a daily basis. Soul searching.

Stole this off a spirituality writer I follow on twitter who covered something similar to this in comments as I see 11:11 all time too. She said the 11:11 was a “wake up call to the energetic shifts occuring spiritually that were leading to 2012” well she didnt say it TO me, I read it on her page.
“The numbers you see are number sequencing, when your energy is more open to noticing signs, some call it angelic messaging and each combination has a meaning. BUT it has NOTHING to do with twinflames, twinflames are VERY rare, some live a synchronistic life, have too much in common as is living a life along a timeline of similar experiences. I think that means you have spiritual growth to do. If you have something in your stomach that will make you ill, wish for the ipecac that will induce vomiting so you can heal. No one usually enjoys vomiting, but it may be necessary. The attitude you are taking here and sharing with others is against your healing and promoting lower vibration for others that may be looking for healing and uplifting support. Take responsibility for yourself and uplift yourself. No one has the same twin story or experience as you, we are all unique. What you are doing may seem helpful to others, but it is really just venting your personal upset. Please understand, I have had quite a bewildering and depressing experience myself, but I know it’s because we have spiritual and emotional growth to do in order to ever have a truly loving relationship together, or with anyone else. Think of what the problems and triggers you had with the person you believe is your twin.. do any of those issues relate to problems you’ve had in previous romantic relationships or any relationships of any kind, including with your family or yourself? I met my twin flame. Didn’t know own what a twin flame was. Our eyes connected at the beach. After that kept seeing him ,our eyes always connect and I get electrical waves through my body, my heart swells up and sometimes I loose my balance. This has been going on now for over a year. We have never spoken, I am married for 24 years and I am 19 years older than him. The mutual attraction is undeniable. On my my mind 24/7. It is a wild experience.
So true.It is exactly what I felt when I met my Twin Flame and I did not know about Twin Flames either. I was looking at a car he was selling. When I met him, he got of his car, looked at me and energy ran through my body and my mind instantly said, “Oh my God, you just fell in love with this guy and you don;t even know him”. I know I met mine. I was living in Louisiana at the time and I was sitting across the room and locked eyes with a guy at another table and I was instantly flooded with some kind of energy I never felt and couldn’t move. I never heard the term twin flame when I met him. He just stood there smiling at me at a charity event- like he was waiting for me – but I didn’t want to talk to him as I was going through a divorce but my friend pushed me to and we ended up talking for hours. The next night I invited him to visit me in Orange County – he lived in San Diego- and we had a very strange connection. Physically it was insane – like we fit. But it was supposed to be a fling and we liked each other – there was a feeling of home with him. I was purely myself and he was enamored by me. After 2 months he ran and I couldn’t stop thinking about him – everywhere I went a song would come on that we listened to – he was in my dreams. And i thought I was losing my mind. I started seeing healers to find the answers. He and I saw each other again and again until we had a fight and the lesson was self worth. We didn’t talk for 3 months while I was healing and meditating and I finally called him to tell him I think I fell in love with him when we met and he said he was in love with me too. We dated for 6 months but he was not healing or doing the work so once again I left. 2 months later he came back with this undying love and eventually proposed- he had started healing but stopped. This relationship is not for the faint of heart – it pulled the rug right out under me and I learned that everything I thought I knew about life was wrong – that we are souls. It was lesson after lesson after lesson. He was my mirror and I had to and still do – learn what that means as there were many times looking at each other was very hard. There are countless things that occurred that made it clear he and I are twin flames but we can’t be together because he is very very mentally ill – and I had to leave. My biggest lesson was self worth – and knowing my mission here is love – to give love – to be love. I met my twin flame when I was 13, he was my first love. I’ve always had these crazy feelings every time I see him like I was being pulled to him but we hadn’t seen each other since our teens. I would only see him on the street and when I tried to turn around and find him he would be gone, and I would be left sad. Its been 30 years and I recently put it in the universe for fate to bring us together and it happened, but he is in a relationship. I’ve been on my spiritual journey since I put it in the universe bcuz I wanted to be ready for him. At the time I was an emotional mess and have been working on myself since 2017. I’ve only spoke to him once recently and my soul aches to hear his voice or see him but he is true to his relationship. At first I thought it was lust, but I rationalized that it couldn’t be bcuz we never were intimate. I knew nothing about twin flames so I am currently researching a lot of info about it and understanding these physical changes I’m going thru. I don’t understand how I could want something so bad that I’ve never had. When I first dreamed of him, we kissed and I felt an electric shock when our lips touched, it was so real.
